Your Chronic Illness Is Your Ally. Are You Open To Believing That? [Your Chronic Illness Ally mini-series.]

(scroll down for the listen links)

I know how radical it is to think of chronic illness as a force for good in your life. I know it goes against what we’re constantly being told, shown and conditioned to believe.

I also know that the quest to feel better by doing only the things that address the physiological manifestation of your chronic illness, and supposed physiological root causes, is futile.

There’s a huge gap between this head-against-a-brick-wall version of what we’ve all been conditioned to see healing as - the kind that has you on a conveyor belt of trying one thing after another - and the kind of healing that results in you being able to rise to the fullness of your imagination.

8 months ago, I had the idea to create a programme that would help you move from equating chronic illness to you being broken and in need of fixing, to being able to see it as your ally and guide, and in this mini-series, I'm going to be telling you all about it and how it can support you.

Your Chronic Illness can be Your Ally

I believe that so much, I’ve created a programme that will help you get there.

8 months ago, I had the idea to create a programme that would help you move from equating chronic illness to you being broken and in need of fixing, to being able to see it as your ally and guide.

We’ve all been blinded by the notion that chronic illness is all bad, for far too long.  It’s rendered us unable to see that it’s actually the way we’ve been conditioned to live life with chronic illness - according to the status quo and rules of mainstream society - that causes so much deeply rooted pain and discomfort.

Living with chronic illness under the prescription of mainstream society causes the breakdown of the way you see and feel about yourself, and as a consequence, the way you see, feel about and live your life.  It encourages you to abandon yourself, so that you can continue to function as a cog in this massive societal wheel.

The thing is, it’s a broken ideal.  It doesn’t work and results in you coming up against the belief that you’re a failure, less-than and not worthy, time and time again.

So I’m saying let’s flip this whole thing on it’s head.  Let’s chuck out the rules of ‘how to live with chronic illness’.  Let’s stop pretending that everything in your life would be better if your chronic illness was to go away.

Let’s start taking care of YOU.  Let’s tune into how your chronic illness is really trying to help, guide and support you.  Let’s have faith that, in rebuilding the parts of you that have been lost in The Chronic Illness Struggle, you will heal on a multi-dimensional level.

Your chronic illness is here to guide and support you as you grow.  It’s here to reveal the parts of you that need nourishment.  It’s here because it’s a sign that your body is doing it’s best under the circumstances.  It continues to be here because it’s leading you to listen to that voice that’s been whispering away at you for god knows how long.  It’s here to help you build a life that is completely aligned to your wants, needs and dreams.

Your Chronic Illness is your Ally, are you ready to believe that?
